World expert and professor of Biomechanics, Stuart McGill, PhD, says to avoid the use of gym machines, particularly the seated leg-press (1), and it’s important to understand why. Our workshops are not just about teaching a bunch of exercises, but about understanding the most common deficiencies in our musculo-skeletal system and what types of exercises will work best to correct them.
These days most of us sit for prolonged periods of time, so if your seated position is wrong, think of the damage that will be doing in the long term. And when it comes to pillows, one size can’t possibly suit all. Find out what is best for you, even if you change beds.
